SHIP MAIL ON THE RIVER ZEYA: 1916 Envelope to Finland franked 10k cancelled oval BLAGOVESHCHENSK – ZEYA STEAMSHIP ‘b’ 10 9 16, light but legible strike. Red oval censor cachet alongside and Helsingfors arrival backstamps. This cover represents the sole evidence of a postal service on the River Zeya, operating from its confluence with the River Amur at Blagoveshchensk northwards to Zeya, about 400km up river.
