1854 (Dec 26) Large envelope from Ireland transatlantic to the USA with seven 1848 10d brown, mixed condition, and 1854-58 2d, tied by “179” numerals of Drogheda, with despatch and Liverpool bs, cover faults, sent via steamer “Baltic” paying 72d for a letter weighing between 2oz & 3oz, a rare multiple franking of the 10d embossed Catalogue ref: 57
