1927 ‘RED ROSE’ flight by Mrs Keith Miller and Capt. Lancaster en route from England to Australia in an Avro Avian moth plane, this cover carried from Calcutta to Australia franked India KGV 1/2a (2) tied by 20 Dec cds, franked Australia 1d on arrival tied by Darwin cds, signed by both pilots. Of the 37 carried on the last leg 34 were lost in Australia. Cover with missing backflap and other small faults. Good appearance and a major rarity.
