1840 2d Blue pl.1 AL, unused with no gum, from the top right of the sheet with plate number “1” and marginal inscription “reful not to remove the Cement.” extending to the left of the stamp, treated to reduced staining with some minor surface marks, an attractive and desirable positional example as very few plate number stamps survive in private hands, in any condition.
