1920ca. “The Runner” fine bronze by Edouard Fraisse, figure of a runner in mid-stride, the rectangular base inscribed “E.Fraisse” (52 cm high), unusual & scarce Note: Edouard Fraisse, sculptor and engraver of medals, was born in Beaune on 14 May 1880, and died in Paris on 13 of September 1945; he was made a Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur in 1929. Benezit states that he was known “above all for compositions inspired by sport”
