1918 Wreck cover from Cairo to London carried by SS Kingstonian, which, on April 11, 1918 was torpedoed by German submarine U68, towed into Carloforte, Sardinia, where the water damaged mail was removed. After repairs it left but was torpedoed by submarine U48 and sank, boxed DAMAGED BY IMMERSION IN SEA WATER, fine & scarce Auction
