1966 UNISSUED – SPACE: Complete sheet of 20 stamps (10 se-tenant pairs) + miniature sheet for Russian Space Science: similar in artwork to the 1966 US Astronaut set (Scott #104c-j). These two designs were not issued by the Qatar government since they showed Soviet cosmonauts (likely under pressure from the Americans). They should have been destroyed, but a few survived in the archives. Both are Airmail stamps, the 70 N.P. shows Gagarin and rocket, the 80 N.P. shows Tereshkova as well as the 50N.P. miniature sheet has the same 2 designs, rare thematic Auction
