Robertson in Hobart (from the same correspondence as the earliest usage of the 1d Courier featured earlier in the auction), sent to Scotland with 1855 1d carmine tied by “68” numeral, paying the Soldier’s Concession rate, with despatch and UK accountancy hs adjacent, reverse with Australian Packet and Blairgowrie arrival cds, fine and very rare
One of only two known examples of the Soldier’s Concession rate with a 1855 1d franking
