1853-55 Waterlow lithographed 4 cents blue, the remarkable horizontal strip of four, being type 2 retouched (clear line of colour over FOUR CENTS) together with types 3+4+5, mint with original gum, very fresh colour and margins all around, faint creasing not apparent from face (SG £12’000 as singles) An exceptional piece of this issue (see Townsend & Howe page 37, where this strip is noted as the only one known, with no blocks recorded) Provenance: Ferrary Expertise: cert.
