1905 Pictorial Chinese native cover to Libava posted at Russian civilian P.O. Mukden, Manchuria 21 1 05. Circular violet free-frank cachet reading around Imperial Eagle: LAZARET OF THE 99th INFANTRY (IVANGOROD) REGIMENT.
A lazaret was a hospital for infectious diseases. More than a quarter of the sick Russian soldiers moved beyond Mukden for treatment suffered from venereal diseases. Auction
