Description
1r Green, 1st printing vertical STRIP OF NINE (largest known such franking, pos. 4//76)) plus 1/2r Dark Blue, tied by rhomboid of dots cancels to 1865 large part of wrapper with docketing flap on back, shows Alausi cds, the 1r position 4 shows double bottom frameline quite clearly; weight was 18 1/2 oz. which required the 9 1/2r franking, an impressive showpiece, 2003 cert. Moorhouse Catalogue ref: 5(x9)+2
