Retouched 1p value, blocks of 6 and of 8 with pen cancels used on large fragment with 1d Red 1st Lecoq issue, datelined Dec. 19, 1863 and possibly representing FISCAL USAGE, some faults yet overall a fine and impressive item
Note: Peru’s first fiscals date from 1866, and nothing is definite about earlier fiscal use of postage stamps, though pen cancels of the 1858-63 issues are sometimes encountered Catalogue ref: 11
