1868 (May 19) Mourning envelope with 1867-80 6d from Mullingar (Ireland) to a Captain in the Royal Regiment at MAURITIUS, reverse with blue Mauritius cds and Grand Bay cds on arrival, returned to Ireland then readdressed to Gosport (Isle of Wight) with Gosport and Newport cds, with several London bs and a H&K Packet cds being the latest discernible cds, picking up blue “10d / TO PAY”, red “1d” and “Deficient Postage…7d” tax marks along the way, some faults to backflap, still a fantastically eye-appealing cover
