Lot 11060 – USA 1935 Wiley Post trans-continental non-stop attempts

1935 Coast-to-Coast non-stop attempts by Wiley Post, cover with bold cachet and 16c air special delivery issued tied on 20 August at Los Angeles (as were all the covers). The attempts, with varying success, were actually flown on 22 Feb, 15 March, 14 April and 15 June; none succeeded. Second cachet (on back) gives flight details; bs 22 August.
