The Codina “Y 1/4” Reconstruction
1860, spectacular plating reconstruction of the famous ”Y 1/4” surcharge used by the local mail service of Havana. The collector was able to realise the amazing achievement of finding 146 positions (63 of these being in the scarce unused condition !) out of the 170 making up the full sheet. The plating also includes a number of very fine stamps, showing full margins on all sides. Five mint blocks are also shown, including a very rare block of 10 of which only 3 to 4 are known, a spectacular block of 8, a block of five, of four, and of 3. All the blocks are in unused condition and show fresh colours. The plating is based on the work of Ignacio Prats (this handbook included). With Philatelic Foundation, COMEX, Graus, APS certificates.
