Lot 30189 – Cuba 1851 outer letter sheet to London via Charletown S.C.
1851 outer letter sheet to Rothschild at London, endorsed “via Isabel”, arriving in Charlestown on JUL 26 with a10c charge date stamp and a similar datestamp for 24c, black circular ’10’ applied at Boston, arrival backstamp of 11 AU. The total of the Charlestown markings incorrectly states total due to be 34c, the trip between Charleston and Boston is really a continuation of the original segment from Cuba.
