1894 Principality of Trinidad issue created by James Harden-Hickey who decreed ownership of a small island, 700 miles out from Rio de Janeiro and created stamps to further his claims, seven different values depicting ship in front of island, 25c and 1f hinged o.g. and others unused. His ownership of the Island was never recognised and the British took it as a cable station, Harden-Hickey committing suicide later in United States; some slight toning
