Crimean War 1854 incoming envelope, part of the Hammond correspondence, to Dover franked vertical strip of three1d on blued paper, perf 16 cancelled on arrival with ’49’ numeral obliterators, endorsed at left “Off Varna Sept 3rd”, reverse with POST OFFICE BRITISH ARMY cds with an incorrect date (inverted 4 and JA for SP), London transit and arrival cds, G.
