Hindenburg Crash Cover. 1937 card endorsed addressed to Thasler in Germany franked with German Reich 1936 Olympic mini sheet, prepared as mail for the return trip of the Hindenburg and recovered from the wreckage of the airship from the eighth finding with burn damage to the left side, cancelled by New York paquebot duplex. Possibly a unique usage with the Olympics mini sheet; cert. Hagedorn & Co (1974) from when this cover was last sold.
