This is a collector’s effort to begin his passionate motivation to build a Classic No 1’s of the World all mint ( few unused ) with care for ideal colour and four full margins:
– Belgium 1849 10c brown signed Balasse and cert. PF (2014).- Brazil 1843 Bull’s Eye 30r – China 1878 thin paper, 2 1/2mm spacing, 1ca green, 3ca brown-red and 5ca yellow- Denmark 1851 2rbs (Ferslew printing) very fine; cert. Moller (2024) which describes it as “flawless” and cert. Kaiser (1980).- France 1849 10c bistre yellow, cert. Cérès (1998).- German Empire 1872 Small Eagle 1/4gr mint n.h., very fine; cert. Krug (2023) and Hennies (1981).- Great Britain 1840 1d black pl.1a CC mint – Italy – Sardinia 1851 5c black ; signed A. Diena, cert. Sorani (1978).- Italy – Sicily 1859 1/2gr plate Ia orange, Palermo paper, cert. Raybaudi (1997).- Japan 1871 48 mon pl.I four margined examples with one early printing and four intermediate printing- Netherlands 1852-63 5c blue , very fine.- Portugal 1853 Maria II 5r, type I reddish brown, with good embossing, (Mundifil €5’200).- Spain 1850 6c black pl.I type 9 cert. COMEX (2023).- United States 1847 5c brown scarce deep rich colour, ex Caspary; cert.
