1908 Arms 3R essay in brown of an unissued design in horizontal format with arms in centre showing a dodo and Rusa deer either side in oval border, affixed to card (90x115mm), dated “Jan. 31st 08” and endorsed “DUPLICATE.” at lower left, very fine and very rare; ex De La Rue Archives (illustrated on p.1917 of the De La Rue Collection by Frank Walton et al), Robert Marion and “Port Louis”.
