1893 1c. pair of beautifully hand painted essays on tracing paper (65x79mm.), in an unissued design, the other as issued design, each painted in lilac with lettering, value, and in the case of the unissued design, portions of the frame, highlighted in Chinese white, , the issued design lettered “A” and dated “Jan 5th. 93”, the unissued design lettered “B” and dated “Jan. 13th. 93”. A unique and wonderfully fresh and highly attractive pair.
