1810 (Jun 22) wrapper from Amsterdam to London with a good strike of the very rare “SHIP-LETTER / (crown) / SOUTHWOULD” hs in black (Robertson S1), with London arrival bs, a very fine and an important item for the maritime or Suffolk collector, and one of only a six examples recorded and the finest of the 5 from the Rothschild correspondence; ex Robertson (this example illustrated in his book on p.E292, plus included with the lot is a letter from Robertson about the initial 5 discovered and how he kept this one with the best strike for himself) and Chadwick.
