Description

1840 1d black pl.4 in horizontal strip of 7 (AE-AK) with single (AD) on cover from Stoney Stratford (Buckinghamshire) SP 24 1840 to Newport Pagnell tied by red MCs, margins just touched AE-AF, AE and AJ creased, AI small tear. An attractive and rare cover, one of only four covers bearing eight or more adhesives from this plate according to Karl Louis; cert. Brandon (2004) and Karl Louis Provenance Certificate (2009).
