1841 (Feb 13) Spooner Envelope No. 4, addressed to an officer on board “H.M.S. ´Magicienne´ at Malta or elsewhere – via Falmouth”, red Maltese Cross and London Paid tombstone datestamp, ink manuscript ´P 1/-´ adjacent, the reverse with black double-arc datestamp dated 12 February (office name unclear, Portsmouth?); pressed creasing and right flap missing though still most attractive and an extremely rare overseas usage. Ex Yates, 1949, Ex Meroni, 1952, Ex Grunin 2004.
