1937 Registered airmail cover from Mecca to Toledo, Ohio, bearing 3 1/2g (x3, one stamp defective), 1g (x2), 1/2g, 1934 issues + hospital tax stamp (large format 37×20 mm: rare!), all stamps tied to cover by bilingual Mecca cds 7 Feb 1937. On reverse are Jeddah, Port Taufiq and Alexandria transits and Toledo registered arrival 27 Feb. A spectacular 5-colour franking with the scarce large-format hospital tax stamp and a very scarce rate.
