1889-91, “Sudamericana” Issue: collection of more than 500 stamps, used and unused, including a wide range of shades, imperforates, multiples and part sheets with plate numbers, a comprehensive display of perforation and impression varieties with spectacular examples also in multiples, pre-printing paper folds, overprinted “Muestra” specimens, as well as some covers. Noted “Gregorio Funes” 50p orange-red “dentado perfecto” (perfect perforation) on thick paper mint n.h. with brown original gum and the same with “dentado imperfecto” (imperfect perforation), prepared but not issued with original white gum. A very rare lot for the specialist, generally very fine. Viewing recommended.
