Description
20 parale red Prince Cuza, a fresh, wide-margined example, cancelled by a clear strike of the grille marking and a superb strike of the Calarasi 14/10 (1865) cds in black. The cover was sent to Ploiesti, with a clear arrival cds (16/10) on the reverse and a Bucharest transit mark (15/10). A scarce item—according to K. Dragomir, only 6,208 such stamps were used in Calarasi. Very fine condition. Catalogue ref: Mi. 13x
