Description
1881-1884 Two letters:
1. Letter from Pireas (Dec. 8/20, 1881) to Breslau (Dec. 17/29, 1881) via Trieste (Dec. 16/28, 1881), franked at 25 lepta, the U.P.U. rate for an international letter up to 15 grams (single rate) with three 10 lepta of the cream papers without “control number” printings (1880/1886).
The stamps have one margin just touched. One stamp has the plate flaw of the “ligne dans le coin droit du haut” (Position 35).
2. Letter from Pireas (Apr. 11/23, 1884) to Berlin (Apr. 18/30, 1884) via Brindisi (Apr. 17/27, 1884), franked at 25 lepta, the U.P.U. rate for an international letter up to 15 grams (single rate).
The 5 lepta is from the cream papers without “control number” (1880/1886) and the 20 lepta from the change of colours printings (1882) both with one margin just touched. Catalogue ref: Hellas 55a55a/59IIa
