Description
1874-1876 Two fragments:
1. Fragment of a letter from XXX (Jan. 3, 1867) to Athens (Jan. 20, 1867), franked with one 5, 10 & 20 kopecks (payment to Constantinople) and taxed at the arrival at 115 lepta (75 lepta for a letter above 15 grams plus internal double rate of 40 lepta for a letter from 15 to 30 grams from Constaninople) according to the 1848 convention between Greece and Russia. The fours stamps are from the consecutive Athens printings (1862/1867) and are cut at one margin.
2. Fragment of a letter from Taganrog (Mar. 30, 1874) to Syros (Apr. 11, 1874), via Odessa & Constantinopoli with three Russian stamps (One 10 kopeks, under the Greek stamps & two 3 kopeks) and with a marginal pair of 20 lepta and a single 5 lepta, both from the meshed papers printings (1871/1876) and touched at one margin.
