Lot 80690 – Entire front of an unpaid letter sent from Alexand

1866 Entire front of an unpaid letter sent from Alexandrie (Nov. 15, 1866) to Kerkyra (Nov. 18, 1866) taxed at the arrival at 190 lepta, written on blue pencil, for a letter from 15 to 20 grams (fourth rate) according to the circulaire of May 25, 1861 of Th. Leonardos, General Director of the Greek post offices. Handwritten “Vapore Del Lloyd Austriaco”, (“Voie des paquebots autrichiens”). All the stamp are from consecutive Athens printings (1862/1867) and have good to large margins, except one of the two 80 lepta with one narrow margin.
