Description
1865 Unpaid letter from Venice (Mar. 25/Apr. 7, 1865) to Patras (Mar. 31/Apr. 12, 1865) via Trieste (Mar. 26/Apr. 8, 1865) taxed at the arrival at 95 lepta, written on red pencil, corresponding to the sum of 30 lepta (10 kreuzer) for the transit from Venice to Trieste, 45 lepta (15 kreuzer) for the transportation by the Lloyd Austrian mail boats company (written on blue pencil), plus 20 lepta for the Greek domestic rate for a letter up to 15 grams according to the 1850 conventions between Greece & Austria and Greece & Austrian Lloyd. Mainly good to large margins.
The three stamps are from the consecutive Athens printings (1862/1867) with good to large margins. Catalogue ref: Hellas 17a/18a/22a
