1867 (Jul 18) envelope from Alexandria to Switzerland, franked with 1854 Empire 80c imperf. (good margins) and 1862 40c orange perf., tied by “5080” dotted lozenges with French P.O. despatch below, “PD” paid to destination hs but the envelope having been pre-franked at top left with a Swiss 1867 10rp red, sent via Marseille and Lausanne, with the 10rp cancelled in Neuchatel, with Yverdon arrival backstamp, some minor soiling, an extraordinary franking.
