1856 mourning envelope from Zuurberg convict station to Scotland with two 4d deep blue, mixed margins, tied by triangular cancels, paying the 8d increased postage to Scotland instead of the standard 6d, incl. original contents from a son to his father with news of death of his mother, Cape Town transit, “LIVERPOOL SHIP” boxed ds and partial Scottish arrivals due to missing top flap.
