Lot 61105 – 1878-1881 overprint “SUNGEI UJONG” for the Straits Settlement 2, 4, and 8c issues

1878-1881 Sperati forgery overprint “SUNGEI UJONG” for the Straits Settlement 2, 4, and 8c issues, a group of six items, including four glass clichés (dated May 1928 and July 1931) with C*SU overprint and “SUNGEI UJONG” in two lines. Also the two overprints in trial prints on paper (one dated 19/10/31). An extremely rare range of materials for the final reproduction of this issue, with no similar material documented in the Sperati I and II handbooks.
