1745 (19.11) Free entire from Carrickmacross to Dublin, addressed to an Antony Forester, showing on reverse a black contracted superb strike of the C-M.C in black, with unframed FREE on the front, this being the only recorded usage of the marking, plus 1779 (7.12) entire from Carrickmacross to London, showing the second contracted type C * K McROSS also in black, a very scarce exhibition pair telling the story of the early postal history of Carrickmacross
