Lot 60128 – 1850-51, 12 cents black on pale blue, used

1850-51, 12 cents black on pale blue, with initials of postal clerk Wight “EDW”, cut square with touched to full margins, cancelled by the Berbice 1851 datestamps.We have recorded nine cut-square examples in private hands of which only two have full margins all around. Our example is actually in fine premium quality despite the margins which are usual for this issue, signed Roumet (SG £40’000).
