Italian States – Sardinia. 1861 (Jan 18). Entire from Santa Margherita, Liguria, to Montevideo, with 1855 20c grey-blue and 1858 80c light orange-yellow, tied by single cds, routed via France with Sardinia-Culoz exchange cds, taken to Bordeaux and put aboard the Ligne du Brésil SS “Bearn” to Rio de Janeiro, then transferred to “Ligne Annexe de la Plata” SS “Saintonge” to Montevideo; stamps and cover with faults and some cover reparations but a good looking example of the 80c; signed A.
