1879 Envelope to Trapezunt with two 7k tied by almost complete ROPiT Agent “SUKHUM-KALE” fancy boxed ds in blue-green with an even better strike on the reverse, small ink corrosion on address panel, missing portion of backflap, a major rarity as a cancellation, cert. Mikulski (1989), which states that this letter, mentioned in the Tchilinghirian vol.IV handbook p.505, was probably posted in a mailbox on a ship from Batum to Odessa which was emptied in Sukhum-Kale, where it was found to be going in the wrong direction and handed over to a ship heading south, with the ROPiT agent in Sukhum-Kale cancelling the stamps with the agency stamp.
