Description
1911 De La Rue Minerva head, se-tenant with Downey head trial in scarlet taken from the sheet of 48 where only 12 had the KGV head; fine and very rare.
Note: This head was made from a new die supplied by the Royal mint to the Crown agents and then sent on to De La Rue, similar to the stage 3 die proof with uncleared surround, reduced to fit the frame.
