Craughwell: 1840 1d Black pl.2 NK, fine to good margins, tied to 1840 (Aug) wrapper from Craughwell to Carndonagh (Ireland) by distinctive double-lined Craughwell Maltese Cross in red, reverse with Craughwell straight line hs and diamond transit ds, fine and very rare, one of only three recorded examples (all from the same correspondence) recorded by R&J vol.1 p.85, ex Moxter
