1840 (Jun1): 1840 1d Grey-Black pl.1a JI, fine to very good margins, tied to 1840 (Jun 1) piece by complete watery black Maltese Cross with indistinct receiving house hs adjacent in same colour, plus Glasgow despatch and Edinburgh arrival, very fine and very early unofficial early use of black ink and rare as such, see R&J vol.1 p.13, cert. BPA (2006).
