1853 1d Brick-Red on slightly blued paper on 1855 (Apr 14) envelope paying soldier’s concessionary rate, sent from Graham’s Town to Scotland, endorsed at top and counter-signed at lower left, reverse with despatch, Cape Town and Aberdeen arrival, minor soiling, scarce military cover.
