1884 OHMS cover from Dongola to a member of the Royal Engineers in London, franked by Provisional 1884 20 paras on 5 piastres green pair, tied POSTE EGIZIANE / DONGOLA circular datestamp (still dated 1880 in Arabic), readdressed on arrival in London (Dec 29 and 30) from New Cross to the Telegraph Battalion, Bechuanaland with Cape Town circular datestamp on reverse on arrival Jan 22 85, an attractive usage full of character
