1928 envelope addressed to Gizo, Iles Solomon franked on reverse corner marginal strip of four 1/2g on $1 Elephant tied faint Harrar cds, Beyrouth transit, three Egyptian transits of the same date including Quantara 1, routed via London where a ‘Found Open or Damaged and Officially Secured’ white label added and cancelled, front bears a further Harrar despatch and a Sydney transit, the envelope with faults, a most unusual item.
