1924 (23 May) Letter from Harbin to Vienna, bearing on back block of four and a single 5c rose mauve Junk series, all stamps tied by circular Harbin ds, endorsed “Via Russia, Registered” and carrying Harbin numbered reg. label on front; one stamp struck by Moscow transit pm (consignor’s note: “this kind of postmark was used when the OGPU (Soviet secret service) paid more attention to letters from China with Russian names”).
