1844 (Oct 15) entire letter from Leamington via Boston Steamer to Burlington New Jersey, bearing 1841 2d. pale blue block of 6, Sd-TF, Pl. 3, and 2d. blue BE. Pl.3, neatly cancelled by “444” numeral cancels, the adhesives with small faults thoiugh an attractive franking.
The sender over paid 2d. due to a misunderstanding of the rate “20 3/4 cents” being 18 3/4 cents inland postage and 2c. ship letter fee.
