1657 (Sep 17) “An act for the selling of the postage of England, Scotland and Ireland” professionally hard bound in book format. A great rarity in superb condition.
This was the first act of Parliament that created the setting of the general post office, for the speedy conveying, carrying and re-carrying of letters by post to, and from places within England, Scotland and Ireland.
