1951 Inauguration of Farouk Canal (unissued) handpainted essay in pale green, dark green and white, 8.6×4.6mm, with pencil notation on reverse in French: “Draft executed by Mr. R Bauchet, Suez Canal Co., Ismailia, 24.9.51”, plus signed card which accompanied the draft after being returned from the King’s approval, a unique essay; ex Peter Bottrill (NP E533a, $2’500)
