Akassa (type 1): 1892 (24 Jun) envelope to London, endorsed at top “No stamps in Niger Territories”, dated bottom left “2/6/92”, not accepted as such and large bold handstamp ‘5d’ applied, reverse with good to fine strike of oval framed violet Akassa handstamp type I, Liverpool transit and London arrival cds, envelope opened-out for display with part top back removed
